WV is elated today that slime ball Supreme Court justice Allen Loughry was indicted and arrested today. Earlier this year he was forced to step down as Chief Justice. Presumably he will be out altogether in the near future.

WV Metro News

Supreme Court Justice Allen Loughry was indicted on 22 counts, U.S. Attorney Mike Stuart announced this morning. Stuart said that if Loughry were convicted on each of the counts, the sentence would amount to almost 400 years.

Loughry was picked up by federal officials at 7:30 a.m. today at his home. He had a short arraignment hearing at the federal courthouse and was released $10,000 bond.

Charleston Gazette-Mail

n a 30-page indictment filed Tuesday and unsealed Wednesday, a grand jury charges that Loughry intentionally lied to federal investigators, and acted "with intent to defraud, misused and abused his position, power and authority."

Specifically, the indictment mentions using a state vehicle and state credit card for gasoline for personal use and lying to other justices about using them for official business; fraudulently claiming mileage and gasoline reimbursements; using state property as his own personal property and using state workers to move the property; and lying to investigators about his conduct.

The indictment also states Loughry tried to influence the testimony of a Supreme Court employee who was testifying before a grand jury after media reports brought some of these allegations to light.

Unfortunately there was no perp walk or pictures of him in handcuffs. Some day soon...
