While doctor was WV GOP chairman, medical officials scrutinized his behavior toward female patient
This stuff came out in a consent order signed by the perp and the WV Board of Medicine (you can find the document here):
According to a consent order signed by Harris, the doctor’s clinical privileges were suspended Dec. 23, 2020, by a Virginia military hospital because of concerns over his evaluation of a female patient.
“The patient alleged that, during a routine flight status physical evaluation, Dr. Harris touched and remained in contact with her breast for longer than appropriate while attempting to listen to her heart,” according to the West Virginia medical board.
“The patient further alleged that Dr. Harris asked her irrelevant questions of a personal nature during the exam.”…
Prior to all those events, Harris served as the chief of staff at the Beckley VA Medical Center in West Virginia from 2017 to 2019. He was dismissed in November 2019 following an investigation into sexual assault allegations against a former doctor who later admitted to molesting patients.

Harris served as West Virginia’s party chairman until June 2022 when state party leaders called on him to consider resigning following “multiple allegations of inappropriate behavior.”
The party officers did not detail the allegations against Harris, but privately said it was about inappropriate comments he made to other Republican officials.
They knew he had been fired for cause when he was elected chair. Sexual harassment and rape of patients are one thing, but annoying Republican officials is unforgivable.
